Collaborative Initiatives
At Tidewater LEAD, we believe that collaboration is key to achieving our mission of empowering and nurturing the leadership potential within every teen. We don't aim to replace the valuable work of other organizations; instead, we strive to complement and enhance their efforts and expand access.
We are dedicated to collaborating with like-minded organizations and institutions, recognizing that together, we can make a more significant impact. Through teamwork, shared missions, and a collective commitment to the growth and development of our youth, we can create a brighter future for the next generation of leaders. Tidewater LEAD is available to support other nonprofit organizations and schools with leadership education programming and workshops.
Volunteers
Adult volunteers are welcome to contact us to discuss opportunities to provide support, both in-person and virtually. We are also always looking for collaborative partners with local organizations and businesses.
Areas frequently in need of volunteers are:
- Event Set-up & Tear-down
- Event Management & Planning
- Competitive Event Evaluators / Judges
- Guest Speakers
- Job Shadow / Career Exploration Hosts
Note:
All volunteers are required to pass a background check, which includes (but is not limited to) a national criminal background check and sex offender check. In order to keep our operating costs low, we request that volunteers cover the cost of their background check (currently $19.95, paid directly to SentryLink).
Upon acceptance as a volunteer, you will be provided with the necessary information to proceed with your background check.
