Myles is a dedicated higher education leader with a proven record in student leadership, career and professional development, and equity-driven initiatives. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with dual minors in Communications and Management from Old Dominion University. He is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at Norfolk State University, with plans to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and practice clinically as a therapist. He then plans to pursue his PhD in Social Work.
In his current role, Myles serves as the Assistant Director for Student Employment at Old Dominion University’s Center for Career and Leadership Development, where he oversees employment programs, designs professional development workshops, and
cultivates partnerships to enhance career readiness for students. His leadership background includes serving as Student Body President at ODU and sitting on multiple educational and student-focused committees. He has managed large-scale programs and university-wide initiatives.
Academically, his commitment to service extends globally as he has studied abroad in Rome, Italy, focusing on the psychology of culture and health. He also studied abroad in Ghana, Africa. In Ghana, he led social work empowerment workshops for youth groups. Passionate about leadership, equity, and education, Myles aspires to shape equity-focused policies at the institutional level, merging his expertise in higher education with a dedication to developing inclusive and transformative environments for future leaders.
