Members interested in participating in external programs with outside organizations that require a community nomination are encouraged to express their interest in such opportunities and initiate a discussion with us to about their goals and the nomination process. Tidewater LEAD is here to help pave the way for our members to access to exciting opportunities within the community and through other organizations.

Whether you're an experienced public speaker or just starting to explore your leadership skills, this competition is the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself and apply your knowledge.

As an Honors and AP student, Austin has consistently demonstrated his intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills. He has received numerous accolades, including the Superintendent's Honor Roll, Presidential Service Award, and Virginia High School League Academic Excellence Award.
Outside of the classroom, Austin is an accomplished competitive golfer, having earned a spot at the 2024 Under Armour Junior Tour National Championship and 2023 VHSL 6A State Championship, and is also a member of his school's Varsity Golf Team. He also serves on the WHRO Student Advisory Board and is a member of the National Honors Society, Model UN, and National Society of High School Scholars.
Logan is a high school freshman in the Governor's STEM Academy who is interested in a career in zoology or marine biology.

Beyond leadership roles, Logan is deeply interested in sports commentary and hones these skills through his personal YouTube channel. Logan enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and is a dedicated fan of Harry Potter (and a proud Hufflepuff), Star Wars, and anime. Logan plans to study Sports Management at Regent University next year and is focused on equipping the next generation with the tools & resources needed to navigate their leadership journeys.

and member of the prestigious Macon and Joan Brock Health Sciences Academy at Old Dominion University, a three-year program designed to prepare high school students for careers in healthcare, which supports his goal of becoming a sports medicine physician.
